Aged Pu-erh Tea in Tangerine ~25 gm
Alternative Views:
Delicious high quality Pu-erh tea leaves from Yunnan are aged for 11 years and packed into the rind of a whole tangerine. Sun-dried for one week, the peel turns a deep brown. During the drying, and then aging, the pu-erh tea absorbs the flavor and fragrance of the tangerine. This pu-erh tea is earthy, smooth and full-bodied highlighted by exceptionally light notes of citrus. The citrus brightness is boosted with Yellow Mandarin Aftelier Chef's Essence.
Be sure to break off some of the dried tangerine rind and brew together with the tea. It is a delicious combination of the pu-erh flavor and layered beneath sweet notes of tangerine. The leaves may be re-infused several times retaining evolved versions of their fragrance and flavor. Each tangerine is approximately 25 grams.

Redolent of sweet citrus, aged for four years and packed into the rind of a whole tangerine. The scent is as complex as one of her perfumes and I am tempted not to drink it but just set it on my living room table so it can fragrance my home.

Until late last year I hadn’t even heard of Pu’erh. It’s actually a fermented tea from Yunnan, China. Here, the leaves are packed into the rind of a whole tangerine.and aged for four years. They take on the flavour of the tangerine and the citrus is enhanced further by the addition of Mandy’s Yellow Mandarin Chef’s Essence. I found the unique scent very comforting. It’s earthy and rubbery and laced delicately with citrus. Perhaps surprisingly, this tea is really refreshing and I found it easy to drink without sugar, which is rare. I also love that it comes in the tangerine peel.
