I am not a skincare person. Doesn't matter. The fragrance in Rose Face Elixir is so freaking amazing and the product makes my already pretty much perfect skin look even better. I have an inner glow and smell amazing. Who knew? -- Portia Turbo, Australian Perfume Junkies
Mandy Aftel has done it again! Gorgeous. It smells so rich and glamorous. Roses and spices and honey all combine to create a beautiful starting point for any rose centric fragrance. -- Portia Turbo, Perfume Posse
The oil is elevated by its elegant depth, a kind of neo-gothic romance that's kept terse between an earthy Sandalwood and a smooth balsamic Frankincense drenched with an exquisitely voluptuous Rose. The unlikely pairing of these dew-spangled essentials gives the face serum an austere finish with the hushed accords. It's a blend like this that makes me wish more oil crafters would take more time to educate themselves about the finesse of using essentials beyond the norm. It is Rose all the way, but a surprising variation on a matured and luxuriant Rose Otto that is brought to life with the faintest of these complementary essentials. Nicely, it avoids the heavy sweetness of the commonplace Rose, which would qualify it as the 'old lady' variety most shun away from. The unapologetically opulent oil sinks straight away, works nicely with foundation when a dewy look is in demand, and reinforces the idea that marvels of nature do work as potently as their lab created counterparts. -- Beauty Huile
As with her body oils, special attention has been given to this sprightly and ingenious elixir. Fifteen years after debuting her first face oil, Mandy still applies her impassioned impressionistic approach to create a poetically misty bottle of moisture, which will surely delight the endless moods of dehydrated to dry skin types alike. -- Beauty Huille
Hand to God, people, her elixir made me look instantly younger. Like TEENAGE years, guys. Pre-teen even. It moisturizers, hydrates and RADIATES youth. There's absolutely no messy greasiness. Just the clearest, brightest, softest skin I can ever remember experiencing. I wouldn't be surprised if people mistook me for a toddler. The difference between my skin when I use this and when I don't is the difference between awesomely perfect and gross. -- FashionBinge.com
The scent is lovely. This rose is obviously Mandy's rose. She uses this high quality rose in her perfumes. The rose is honeyed and hay-like. There is an acrid frankincense base. It may not be the first choice for a man, but it should be. This is one of those sexy rose attars that men should smell like. It's a sultan's scent. -- EauMG
I knew it would leave my skin nourished and glowing... what I wasn't expecting, was to be completely smitten by the scent. So much so that I want this in a body oil form, I want to spritz it as an EDP and I want to dab it gingerly as a parfum. Mandy's perfumes are typically quite complex and multifaceted. A sign of a gifted artist to be sure. But her balanced and nuanced use of just three essences, rose, sandalwood and frankincense, seems to me to need just as much skill and talent as this triad hums with a stunningly relaxed beauty. -- Scent Hive
A hauntingly beautiful oil based face serum that is absolutely otherworldly in its mysterious mixture of scents. While the top notes reveal the most tantalizing rose that you have ever imagined, it is tempered by a warm depth from the Sandalwood and Frankincense. This is no ordinary rose - it is an intoxicating and titillating scent that reveals an indescribable complexity as it reaches the temperature of the body and melts into the skin. This rose is elegant, sensual, lingering, and utterly addictive. The scent acts as a sweet lullaby urging you to fall into a tranquil slumber when applied at bedtime. Not only does this golden elixir offer a fantastic sensory experience, but it also does wonders for the skin. -- Lola's Secret Beauty Blog
