(Perilla Frutescens from Japan) Ten years in the searching! I knew there was a good shiso leaf essential oil out there, but worried that I could never find it again after my source dried up a decade ago. I had nearly given up on ever finding a good one that didn't have sour/off notes, so was overjoyed to finally find this terrific one. Shiso (perilla) aroma, a middle note, is very distinctive, complex, spicy, green, and tart -- it brings bright definition to fragrances.
