(Zingiber cassumunar Roxb. from Thailand) Plai's aroma -- green and spicy with a touch of bite -- has a smooth and airy texture. This particular wild-harvested plai oil, distilled from the root, is rare having none of the medicinal facets common to plai essential oil. A close relative of ginger, this top note is distilled from the fresh root. It has a rare cooling scent, which opens up many new blending possibilities to the natural perfumer.
