Chef's Essences Flavor Drops are fun, easy-to-use, and very economical -- a drop or two transforms an everyday dish into something utterly delicious. They enliven everything from soups, salads, and main courses to ice cream, cakes, and cookies. Chef’s Essence Drops come in a 5 ml dropper-cap bottle containing around 150 drops. Start by measuring a drop or two carefully into a spoon so you can count the drops before adding it to the liquid you want to flavor—butter, cream, chocolate, batter, oil, sauce, vinaigrette, soup, stew, etc. It's also easy to make your own flavor sprays, read more [here].
Our Chef's Essences in New York Times Style Magazine: "I was initially suspicious of the use of oils in foodstuffs. But the truth was in the sniffing. The difference between ground spices and essential oils is a matter of depth, intensity and staying power. Dried lavender evokes the powder room of a fancy hotel, but lavender absolute is a freshly bathed baby breathing hot little sighs into your neck. Cardamom is an Indian restaurant, but cardamom oil is an excursive train ride through Madurai, banyan trees and temples whizzing by."
