A really lovely English antique Victorian sterling uncommon heart-shaped snuff box by esteemed silversmith Henry Matthews (1893 - 1930) in excellent clean condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1894. Beautiful quality and a genuine 129 years old, with a hinged silver lid and has protruding fluted border edge rims to assist lid opening. Decorated with attractive embossed flowers and foliage and inside it still has its original fully gilded interior. There are no added personal engravings. Measures 1.7 inches x 1.5 inches and is 0.95 inches deep. Full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1894, (date letter "u"). Good clear matching silver marks on box and lid and the silversmiths initials are "H M" (Henry Matthews - 1893 - 1930). Closes with a satisfying snap with beautiful original gilded interior.
